Course Syllabus Overview
A1 Level (Beginner)
- Pronunciation and Basic Sounds: Learn the Italian alphabet, essential phonetics, and common pronunciation rules to set a strong foundation.
- Essential Vocabulary: Master greetings, numbers, days of the week, colors, and everyday expressions.
- Basic Grammar Structures:
- Definite and indefinite articles.
- Present tense conjugations for regular and key irregular verbs.
- Basic adjectives and their agreement with nouns.
- Simple Conversations and Questions: Practice introducing yourself, asking simple questions (e.g., āWhat is your name?ā), and expressing likes and dislikes.
- Basic Reading and Listening: Engage with short, simple dialogues and written texts to practice comprehension.
- Practical Activities: Role-playing common scenarios like ordering food and asking for directions.
A2 Level (Elementary)
- Expanding Vocabulary: Gain new words related to work, travel, family, and hobbies.

- Use of the passato prossimo (simple past tense) for talking about completed actions.

- Reflexive verbs and daily routine language.

B1 Level (Intermediate)

- Future tense for discussing plans and predictions.
- Conditional forms for expressing wishes and hypothetical scenarios.

- Conversation Practice: Participate in discussions that require expressing opinions, recounting experiences, and problem-solving.
- Advanced Listening and Comprehension: Analyze dialogues from Italian radio broadcasts, news segments, and conversational clips.
- Reading and Analysis: Work with longer texts, such as magazine articles, excerpts from books, and opinion pieces, to practice scanning for information and identifying main ideas.

Will I earn a certification?
Participants who attend and actively participate in the course will receive a certificate of achievement from Dante in Linea. Please note that this certificate may not be valid for the Citizenship application: You will have to take an official certification test. You can do this with us as we are home to CILS certifications.
