The scariest night of the year is approaching, and it is perfect to remind you of the Halloween vocabulary in Italian. Have fun with your friends and surprise them with your costume by speaking Italian.

October 31 has now become the day dedicated to the occult and death, but also to pumpkins, disguises and sweets!

There are two Italian public and religious holidays around this time of year :

  • November 1st– La Festa di Ognissanti (All Saints’ Day)
  • November 2nd–Il Giorno dei Morti (All Souls’ Day)

Halloween itself, on October on 31st, isn’t a recognised holiday in Italy….However, celebrations as we know them in the US and the UK, have grown in popularity in recent years.
