Learning a new language is always an interesting challenge, suitable for people who like to be constantly learning, not to mention that languages are a great tool with which we can break through in a globalized world.
The correct learning of the Italian language of our students is the main objective of Dante In Linea. That is why we are interested in knowing more about the experience of each one, learning from our platform. On this occasion, Cinthya Sarahí Arteaga tells us more about what were her reasons for starting to study Italian and what have been the advantages she has obtained from her experience with us.
Why did you decide to study Italian?
I decided to study Italian because Italian culture and history always caught my attention. And I considered that through learning the language, I would get closer to this culture, it is also the official language of the Vatican, almost always all international events of the Catholic Church speak Italian, at certain times. I had already started the approach to the Italian language in my school and later in the university, but more as free courses and not in a formal way.
What do you like the most about this language?
I love it because it is a language appreciated in the business world (after English), this because of the approach of the private sector / foreign investment of Italian origin in many areas of economic activities.
How do you rate the teachers?
The Dante teachers have been an inspiration for me, because through the classes, they have been a means of approaching Italian culture. It is a good choice to offer the Italian language teaching service with native speakers of the language. They are excellent.
How did you manage your time between working and / or studying and studying Italian?
I usually have parallel activities, between work, masters and math classes, swimming training, church activities, well, friends, family. I think that if one likes something, then there are ways to organize the spaces to study this language.
What opportunities have you obtained by knowing Italian?
I have had the opportunity to be considered for scholarships abroad. And at the moment I am still preparing to perfect the language, and apply in the future to a research internship at the doctoral level. I am currently part of a company called Aruná, and knowing other languages is an opening to negotiations with Italian-speaking companies or personalities.
How did you find out about the Italian courses?
The first time I heard about Dante was through a publication in the newspaper in 2011, but, it was until 2014 that I was able to start classes formally, the first thing I did was call them on the phone and that’s how the adventure in Dante began. .
What recommendations would you give to other students who want to learn Italian?
My first recommendation would be, do not be afraid of being wrong, part of success in all learning is knowing what things are done wrong.
Second: ask. There is no staying with doubts, no matter how small the questions may seem.
Third, listen, see, read in Italian; There are now an infinity of resources on the web that can complement the study of the language. And finally: have fun learning Italian
