The Italian Citizenship Course at Dante in Linea guides students through three key levels of language proficiency: A1, A2, and B1.
At the A1 (Beginner) level, students develop essential communication skills for everyday situations, such as introductions, basic conversations, and expressing simple needs.
Progressing to A2 (Elementary), they gain confidence discussing familiar topics like family, work, and hobbies while improving their ability to understand and produce short texts.
By the B1 (Intermediate) level, students achieve the proficiency required for Italian citizenship, enabling them to engage in conversations on diverse subjects, write clear and connected texts, and comprehend the main ideas in spoken and written Italian.
This comprehensive progression ensures students are well-prepared for citizenship requirements and real-life communication in Italy.

Join a small group (max 8 students) for interactive lessons, 75 minutes each, held 5 times a week for 20 weeks in our e-learning Platform.
Each session is led by one of Dante in Linea’s accredited native-speaking Italian teachers, ensuring an engaging and practical learning experience.

A1 Level (Beginner)
- Pronunciation and Basic Sounds: Learn the Italian alphabet, essential phonetics, and common pronunciation rules to set a strong foundation.
- Essential Vocabulary: Master greetings, numbers, days of the week, colors, and everyday expressions.
- Basic Grammar Structures:
- Definite and indefinite articles.
- Present tense conjugations for regular and key irregular verbs.
- Basic adjectives and their agreement with nouns.
- Simple Conversations and Questions: Practice introducing yourself, asking simple questions (e.g., “What is your name?”), and expressing likes and dislikes.
- Basic Reading and Listening: Engage with short, simple dialogues and written texts to practice comprehension.

A2 Level (Elementary)
